I apologize for the lack of activity over here! I’m hoping in the next week to be back to the schedule I wrote out a few months back (with some tweaks!)

But for starters, look what my friend, Cara, made for me!!!


That’s right! I have an official button now! I’m giddy! This way, everyone can join in on the Trying Treats fun (which, will obviously be on Tuesdays now!) I’m going to see if I can figure out how to get a Mr. Linky up so we can all join in!

We’re working on finding a new place to live. I plan on posting our most recent Freezer Meal Swap Recipes ASAP. Once we get plans finalized, I’ll be back on task 🙂

Stinky hands?


It inevitably happens, you chop an onion…now your hands stink!  Did you know wetting your hands and then rubbing baking soda on your hands – all over and then washing them clean will remove the stink?

Treats To Try


Ok, once again, I’m going to change things up a bit…

The list last week was very overwhelming in trying to decide something new to try, soooooo…

My new Treats To Try will be one new recipe I intend to try the following week (as in, the one I post today will be tried for dinner one day this week). It will not always be a dinner, this one just happens to be. But this will be less overwhelming for me! 🙂 Please, feel free to join in in trying a new treat each week (doesn’t have to be this one, just a NEW one!)

My plan is to report back after trying the recipe and give a review on it…this could occur at anytime during the week, depending on when the recipe is tried!

With that being said! This weeks’ treat will be:

Kraft Food’s Cheeseburger Roll-Ups. I found this recipe via Feasting Fun this week and I am way too excited about it!

1 lb. lean ground beef
4 slices  OSCAR MAYER Bacon, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 lb.  (8 oz.) VELVEETA Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 pkg. (13.8 oz.) refrigerated pizza crust

HEAT oven to 400°F. Brown ground beef with bacon and onions in large skillet on medium-high heat; drain. Return meat mixture to skillet. Add VELVEETA; cook until melted, stirring frequently. Cool 10 min.

UNROLL dough onto baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Press into 15×8-inch rectangle; top with meat mixture. Roll up, starting at one of the long sides. Rearrange if necessary so roll is seam-side down.

BAKE 20 to 25 min. or until golden brown.Kraft Kitchen Tips (they are SO good about these!)

Serving Suggestion
Balance this indulgent “cheeseburger” with a mixed green salad and fresh fruit.
Special Extra
Serve with your favorite condiments, such as CLAUSSEN Dill Burger Slices, mustard, ketchup, sliced tomatoes and/or TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Thick ‘N Chunky Salsa.
Prepare using VELVEETA 2% Milk Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product and substituting 1 can (7 oz.) chopped mushrooms, drained, for the bacon.

Mondays – a recipe (this could be anything, breakfast, snack, drink, etc…)

Wednesdays – a freezer meal recipe (usually something to make in bulk…)

Fridays – a cooking tip

Weekends – a round up of recipes that I want to try (they will be linked, once I try them, I’ll post them here…)
