Fresh Bread Sticks

2t OR 1/2 pkg yeast
3c bread flour
1T sugar
1t salt
1T butter
1c milk
1 egg white mixed with 1t water, set aside

Select “dough” or “manual” setting. Add ingredients as listed and push “Start”

When doug is ready, remove it from machine and divide into 12 equal pcs. on a cookie sheet. Cover and let rise in a warm, draft-free spot for 20 mins (inside oven is a good place)

Roll each pc. into long strip and brush with egg white mixture. Sprinkle with garlic salt, if desired. Bake at 400 for about 15 mins.

When lightly browned, they will be chewy. If you want them crisp, lower heat to 300 degrees after first 15 mins., then check every 5 mins.
